A Climate-Resilience Platform · Madrid, Spain

Agriculture must produce more food under hotter, drier, and more unpredictable climates. Veos is building the platform that makes crops resilient enough to do it.

Veos operates a climate-resilience platform powered by OliSignal™, our proprietary olive polyphenol signaling technology. Two integrated tracks: BioPropello™ primes existing crops this season; Veos Propello Genesis™ breeds new resilient strains of rice, coffee, and cacao for the seasons ahead.

Parsley cycle: d = 7.04, p < 10⁻¹³. Green-bean full cycle: 4.7× yield, 11 days earlier harvest, 100% vs 0% survival under stress. Cereals at Texas A&M: +35% corn, +49% sorghum germination. Real fields. Four countries. Cycles completed.

01 · The Challenge

Climate change is rewriting the productivity ceiling of every major crop.

Heat, drought, and salinity now account for more than half of global crop yield losses. Arable land is degrading faster than it can be restored. Fertilizer overuse is a symptom, not a solution — stressed crops can't absorb inputs efficiently, so growers over-apply, driving costs up, margins down, and emissions higher.

The category has been waiting for an integrated platform that addresses this at both the treatment and genetic level — priming existing crops this season, while breeding permanently more resilient strains for the seasons ahead. That's what Veos built.

Land Base Erosion
30%
of arable land is already degraded — the productive base is shrinking as demand grows. Restoration is slow; resilience is faster.
Abiotic Stress Losses
>50%
of global crop yield loss is driven by heat, drought, and salinity — not by pests or disease. This is where food security is won or lost.
Coffee & Cacao Under Threat
~50%
of Arabica coffee habitat is projected unsuitable by 2050. Cacao prices tripled in 2024. Resilient strains are urgent.

Veos Agriculture is a two-track climate-resilience platform powered by OliSignal™ — combining a treatment product that works this season with a breeding program that delivers permanent trait improvement. No competing platform in agricultural biotechnology integrates both.

02 · The Platform Technology

Introducing OliSignal™ — our olive polyphenol signaling technology.

Every product Veos commercializes in agriculture is built on OliSignal™, our proprietary standardized olive polyphenol signaling technology. OliSignal™ is not fertilizer, not nutrition, not seaweed extract. It is a class of signaling molecules derived from Mediterranean olive by-products that activate the plant's own stress-response and growth pathways — before the stress event arrives.

This is the difference between feeding the plant and training it to survive a marathon. Both matter. Only the second one keeps the plant productive when conditions turn.

OliSignal™ · Platform Technology

The world's first standardized olive polyphenol signaling platform for climate-resilient agriculture.

OliSignal™ is Veos's proprietary signaling technology — a standardized, circular, olive-derived molecular platform that primes plant defense and growth pathways. Every OliSignal™-powered product is circular (sourced from Mediterranean olive by-products), signaling-based (activates the plant's own pathways rather than supplying nutrients), and backed by completed field cycles with reported p-values. The platform is the source. The products are downstream.

03 · Two Complementary R&D Tracks

One platform. Two ways to deliver climate resilience.

Veos operates two parallel R&D tracks that share the same OliSignal™ foundation but deliver on different timescales. Track 01 treats existing crops this season and delivers immediate resilience. Track 02 uses OliSignal™ as selection pressure to identify the individual plants that respond most strongly, then crosses and propagates those top responders into new strains with permanently enhanced natural productivity under stress. The two tracks compound: growers can plant Veos Propello Genesis™ strains AND treat them with BioPropello™.

Track 02 · Breeding

Veos Propello Genesis™

Breed for permanent resilience. Rice, coffee, cacao.

A conventional breeding and selection program that uses OliSignal™ as selection pressure. Treat diverse populations with BioPropello, identify the strongest responders, cross them, propagate the seed, and breed for enhanced natural responsiveness.

The result: new plant strains that produce more naturally under stress AND respond more strongly when treated. Non-GMO. Non-transgenic. Non-CRISPR. No regulatory friction in EU, US, or emerging markets.

04 · Veos Propello Genesis™ Crops

Three staple crops. Three climate-vulnerable value chains.

The Veos Propello Genesis™ breeding program focuses on three crops that share a critical profile: they feed or fuel massive global value chains, they are severely threatened by climate change, and their existing genetics were not selected for the stress conditions they now face.

Global Scale · Genesis Crop Portfolio

Genesis crops target over 4 billion people and more than $500 billion in annual agricultural value.

4B+
people dependent on rice, coffee, or cacao value chains
$500B+
annual agricultural value across the three crops
100%
of Genesis crops are climate-threatened
🌈
Rice
Oryza sativa
Feeds approximately half of humanity. Grown across humid subtropical to semi-arid climates, rice is exceptionally vulnerable to heat stress at flowering and salinity in coastal deltas. Existing cultivars were selected under pre-climate-change conditions.
Target Traits
Heat-tolerant flowering, salinity tolerance, drought resilience. Compounded with BioPropello™ treatment for maximum in-season effect.
Coffee
Coffea arabica
The most climate-threatened premium crop on Earth. Projected 50% habitat loss for Arabica by 2050. A $200B+ industry with buyers (roasters, brands, specialty co-ops) already paying premiums for identity-preserved climate-resilient sourcing.
Target Traits
Heat tolerance at altitude ceiling, drought resilience, resistance to rust and berry borer under stress conditions.
🍫
Cacao
Theobroma cacao
Prices tripled in 2024 as West African production collapsed under drought and disease. Every major chocolate company is scrambling for climate-resilient cacao. Concentrated production geography makes the crop unusually exposed.
Target Traits
Drought resilience, resistance to swollen shoot virus and black pod disease under stress, maintained cocoa butter content under heat.

Because the breeding is 100% conventional — no GMO, no CRISPR, no transgenics — Veos Propello Genesis™ strains carry no regulatory restrictions in the EU, no import barriers in emerging markets, and no consumer resistance. The commercial pathway is open in every geography that matters.

06 · Why Growers Adopt OliSignal™-Powered Products

The economics. Not just the science.

Growers, cooperatives, distributors, and seed companies adopt Veos platform products because the underlying economics work — not because the science is interesting. Below are the value drivers our commercial partners cite most frequently.

1

Earlier harvest

Green bean cycle: 11 days earlier first yield. Shifts the crop into market ahead of price compression.

2

Higher survival

Green bean stress trial: 100% vs 0% survival at D40. Growers keep the crop when neighbors lose theirs.

3

Reduced crop losses

Under abiotic stress, primed crops hold. This is the largest single ROI driver in stress years.

4

Higher and more stable yield

Parsley ×7.6 biomass. Green bean 4.7× yield. Cereal germination doublings. Real fields, not lab conditions.

5

Better ROI per hectare

$108 input → $350–580 net income gain per hectare. 3–5× payback per season. Compounds in stress years.

6

Reduced fertilizer dependency

Primed plants absorb inputs more efficiently. Field evidence supports ~20% fertilizer reduction. Full validation ongoing.

07 · Competitive Position

One row nobody else can check. Every row.

Every agricultural input on the market today is either a fertilizer (nutrition) or a generic biostimulant (loosely characterized botanicals). Veos is neither. The OliSignal™ platform is the only entrant with signaling-based mechanism, circular sourcing, proteomics-grade evidence, and integrated breeding.
